High School Marching BandCelebrating Students, Music and the Shrine Bowl

Since 1984, the Kansas Masonic All-State High School Marching Band has been a continuous and positive presence at the annual Kansas (East-West) Shrine Bowl. The Kansas Shrine Bowl is an annual high school football all-star game that raises funds and awareness for the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

The Kansas Masonic All-State High School Marching Band

The Kansas Masonic All-State High School Marching Band Camp was designed to fill a void at the yearly summer Kansas Shrine Bowl when most high school bands are not available. Annually, a total of 180 to 225 of Kansas’ best high school musicians are showcased, which includes pre-game and halftime performances. The band also performs before the Shrine Bowl Banquet on the Friday night prior to the game and at a downtown parade the following morning.

What People Are Saying

“We march for the Shriners patients. We get to do what we love and ensure they get the care they need. We even get to go meet them, which is my favorite part of the camp. I came in from a small school that didn’t have a marching band at all. I have learned so much.”

Jazmine Klumpe, Former Participant Olpe High School

“Having the opportunity to not only march a show but also march with a huge band is a great experience.”

Bob Haselhuhn, Band Director Emporia High School

“This is my first year attending, and I’m really looking forward to playing music and meeting new people. Having the chance to work with older college kids and other professionals will grow my skills and help me grow as both a person and musician.”

Garrison Smith, Former Participant Emporia High School
