Marmaton Lodge No. 245 Donates $650 to the Moran Ruritan Club

Moran, Kansas (May 1, 2026)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Marmaton Lodge No. 245 to donate $650 to the Moran Ruritan Club.

Founded in 1885, Marmaton Lodge No. 245 is a Kansas Masonic Lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has 63 active members who remain heavily involved in the local community. Some of its most notable contributions include donating to the local 4-H and Forensics Clubs, volunteering for the annual Back-to-School Barbecue, and helping with the annual Community Day (Moran Day) activities. The lodge Brothers also recently donated $500 to Honor 250 to preserve, restore, and clean veteran grave markers and memorial monuments in local cemeteries.

“Our lodge recently hosted a fundraising breakfast to benefit the Moran Ruritan Club,” said Marmaton Lodge No. 245 Secretary James Mueller. “They work to improve our communities and also offer scholarships to several of our local high school students, so we like to give back when possible.”

This year, the Brothers at Marmaton Lodge No. 245 are continuing to give back to local students by teaming up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to donate $650 to the Moran Ruritan Club. Ruritan is a national organization dedicated to improving communities and building a better America through fellowship, goodwill, and community service. All donated funds will directly benefit local students through scholarships. A formal donation presentation will take place on May 8, 2026, at a stated lodge meeting.
