Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With Community Donation

Savonburg, Kansas (September 11, 2026)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Virginia Lodge No. 315 to donate $1,000 to the Elsmore Ruritan Club.

Founded in 1896, Virginia Lodge No. 315 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has 33 active members and supports various community-based organizations and events. Some of its most notable contributions include donations to the Elsmore Fourth of July celebration, Elsmore Rural Town Days, Humboldt High School, Marmaton Valley High School, the Savonburg City Library, Savonburg City Park, Savonburg Thrive, and Stark Days. The lodge Brothers also regularly participate in school functions and local fundraising events.

“The Elsmore Ruritan Club organizes and hosts an annual pet vaccine clinic, donates scholarships to local youth, and provides food boxes to the needy on a monthly basis,” said Virginia Lodge No. 315 Secretary William Wilson. “They also contribute to the Elsmore City Park and coordinate fundraisers for families within the community that have experienced a tragedy or loss.”

Furthering their commitment to the local community, the Brothers at Virginia Lodge No. 315 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to donate $1,000 to the Elsmore Ruritan Club. All funds donated will be used to purchase food items for monthly boxes, which will be provided to community members in need. A formal donation presentation will take place on September 28, 2026, at Elsmore City Hall.
