Parsons, Kansas (September 4, 2026)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Parsons Lodge No. 117 to donate $800 to Garfield Elementary School.
Founded in 1872, Parsons Lodge No. 117 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has 41 active members and is highly involved within the local community. Some of its most notable contributions include organizing school resource drives, providing financial support to small community organizations, and supporting local fire departments.
“Our lodge strives to help the community when we can,” said Parsons Lodge No. 117 Secretary Thomas Circle. “Ensuring all students are equipped for the school year is a real need in our community, and we want to make sure those children who may not have the resources to get everything they need have backpacks and school supplies to start the year off right.”
In an effort to further their community support in Parsons, the Brothers at Parsons Lodge No. 117 have partnered with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to donate $800 to Garfield Elementary School. All funds donated will help provide school supplies and snacks for local students in need, and a formal donation announcement will take place in the coming weeks.
