LEBO, Kan. (August 14, 2026)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Lebo Lodge No. 152 to donate $200 to a local effort providing school supplies for more than 200 Pre-K–5th grade students during the 2026–2027 school year.
Organized through a collaborative effort between Lebo Baptist Church, the local Methodist church and community members, the initiative helps provide students with school supplies identified by teachers and staff as necessary for their success in the classroom.
“This is a collaborative effort between the Baptist and Methodist churches and members of the community to provide necessary school supplies for more than 200 students,” said Lebo Lodge No. 152 Secretary Steve Zumbrunn. “We have several retired educators in our Lodge, so we feel this is a meaningful way to use our resources to help local families while supporting students in our community.”
This marks the sixth year Lebo Lodge No. 152 has contributed to the school supply initiative. With this year’s $200 donation, the Lodge will have contributed a total of $1,600 toward school supplies for local students.
Founded in 1888, Lebo Lodge No. 152 has 45 active members and a long history of supporting organizations, programs, and families throughout the community. Its efforts have included supporting local students attending the Kansas Shrine Bowl; donating to the Lebo and Hartford food pantries, the Lebo Senior Center, and Special Olympics; and collecting toys, personal hygiene items, and monetary donations for families in need. Lodge members also participate in local traditions and events, including Halloween parades and the annual Fourth of July Car Show and community celebration. Most recently, the Lodge donated $100 to the Lebo High School Booster Club.
The $200 donation from Lebo Lodge No. 152 and the Kansas Masonic Foundation will be presented to Lebo Baptist Church, with all funds going toward the purchase of school supplies for local students. A formal check presentation will take place at the church in the coming weeks.
