Kansas Masons Award $205,000 to Kansas High School and College Students

Topeka, Kansas (March 5, 2026)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with its 170 statewide Masonic lodges and Kansas Masons to award 202 scholarships to students across the state, totaling over $200,000.

All scholarships, ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 per student, are awarded to graduating high school seniors and students already attending four-year or two-year universities, including junior, vocational, and technical colleges throughout the state. Over the more than 50 years of its existence, the Kansas Masonic Foundation, in collaboration with the Grand Lodge of Kansas and its 170 statewide lodges, has provided more than $8.5 million in funding to deserving local students.

“Education remains at the heart of what we do,” said Jonathan W. McConnell, President of the Kansas Masonic Foundation. “For sixty years, we’ve awarded nearly $10 million in scholarships to Kansas students pursuing their dreams and shaping the future of our state. And through programs like this one, we continue to celebrate excellence, leadership, and civic engagement in our Kansas communities.”

This year’s scholarships were awarded to Kansas residents based on financial needs and offered in three categories: General Scholarships, Legacy Scholarships, and Cynthia Ruth Russell Scholarships.
