Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Masonic Lodge With After Prom Donation

Hugoton, Kansas (January 30, 2026)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Hugoton Lodge No. 406 to donate $400 to the Rolla High School After Prom.

Founded in 1914, Hugoton Lodge No. 406 is the oldest active chartered fraternal organization in Stevens County and is dedicated to philanthropy within the community. This Kansas Masonic lodge has 34 active members who support various local causes. Some of its most notable contributions include donating over $16,500 to Project Hope and Helping Hands, providing over $63,000 in scholarships to local high school graduates, contributing $1,000 to the local Shop-With-A-Cop program, and organizing free cancer screenings for over 700 individuals in Southwest Kansas. Their lodge has also sponsored 65 musicians at the Kansas Masonic All-State Marching Band Camp, in addition to contributing over $8,400 to local library-sponsored summer reading programs.

“The Rolla After Prom is a group of students and their parents that share in the responsibilities of planning and organizing the activities following prom. Not only do the students learn about fundraising and budgets, but it also provides an opportunity for the parents to work together on a community project,” said Masonic Foundation Chairman David Eckert. “We believe that supporting the annual after prom keeps kids safe and contributes to the overall health of our communities.”

Continuing with their support of the local community, the Brothers at Hugoton Lodge No. 406 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to donate $400 to the Rolla High School After Prom celebration. All funds donated will support the school district’s after prom and associated activities, including games, movies, prizes, and food. All students and guests are invited to attend the celebration following prom for a safe and substance-free night. A formal donation announcement will take place in February of 2026.
