Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With 4-H Donation

Parker, Kansas (April 5, 2024)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefitting Kansas communities, has partnered with Parker Lodge No. 341 to donate $1,560 to the Thunderbird 4-H Club, an organization that supports local youth.

Founded in 1891, Parker Lodge No. 341 is a Kansas Masonic Lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has 90 members and supports various community organizations and events, including hosting a monthly breakfast for community members, contributing to the local Christmas Fund each year, sponsoring students at Band Camp, and recognizing student essay contest participants for their outstanding achievements.

“4-H programs are grounded in the belief that kids learn best by doing,” said Parker Lodge No. 341 Secretary Tuff Hermreck. “Kids and teens are able to complete hands-on projects in areas like science, health, agriculture, and civic engagement in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. We are always excited to donate to youth organizations that strive to develop our community’s future leaders.”

To further their mission of assisting others in need, the Brothers at Parker Lodge No. 341 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to donate $1,560 to the Thunderbird 4-H Club. The organization offers various activities for community youth to gain knowledge in several different avenues of life, which will assist them in the future. All funds donated by Parker Lodge No. 341 in collaboration with the Kansas Masonic Foundation will help cover the cost of awards, sponsor Kids Day at the local fair, and fund various educational trips. A formal donation announcement will take place in April at the Thunderbird 4-H Club’s monthly meeting.
