Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With Pediatric Patient Donation

Belleville, Kansas (January 19, 2024)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Belleville Lodge No. 129 to donate $5,000 to Connor’s Cuddles, an organization providing handmade blankets to pediatric patients at hospitals state-wide.

Founded in 1872, Belleville Lodge No. 129 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has 175 members and is highly active in the local community. Some of their most notable contributions include assisting the Golden Belle Senior Center and partnering with Connor’s Cuddles to distribute handmade blankets to hospitalized pediatric patients across Kansas.

“We strive to help our local community,” said Belleville Lodge No. 129 Master Doug Wilkinson. “We feel that Connor’s Cuddles is a very worthwhile cause that provides a sense of warmth and care for terminally ill children in the hospital.”

To further their mission of aiding the local community, the Brothers at Belleville Lodge No. 129 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to donate $5,000 to Connor’s Cuddles. This year will mark the lodge’s first contribution to the organization, and all funds donated will help purchase fabric and other supplies to make blankets. Once the blankets are made, they will be delivered to terminally-ill pediatric patients across the state. A formal donation announcement will be made this coming spring.
