Kansas Masons Partner With Kansas State University To Drive Economic Growth

Manhattan, Kansas (November 28, 2023)—As the philanthropic arm of Kansas Masons, the Kansas Masonic Foundation is dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities and individuals. In recent years, Kansas Masons have displayed their commitment to the success of local communities by supporting various charitable endeavors, contributing over $200,000 worth of scholarships annually to local students, offering free cancer screenings to Kansas residents through the Masonic Cancer Alliance, sponsoring the Kansas Entrepreneurial Challenge, and participating in the Kansas Community Empowerment Program.

Continuing with their support of local students, the Kansas Masonic Foundation has partnered with Kansas State University to sponsor Wildcat Consulting, an opportunity for K-State students to gain valuable experience in solving business challenges and drive sustainable economic growth in the state.

The program offers students an opportunity to consult on real-world projects for Kansas businesses. Partner businesses are able to approach Wildcat Consulting with a general idea for a project or a set of specific challenges that students can help explore in further detail, and student consultants will work in teams to follow deadlines set by partner businesses.

“The Kansas Masonic Foundation has partnered with Kansas State University Wildcat Consulting to help recommend this opportunity to business owners in our local communities,” said Robert Shively, Executive Director of the Kansas Masonic Foundation. “Our Kansas Masons are excited to continue supporting K-State students as they further their professional skills while demonstrating integrity, trust, quality, and dependability.”

Due to Kansas Masons’ continued support and program sponsorship, projects for Kansas-based businesses are able to be offered at no charge; however, if employers are satisfied with the project deliverables and impact on their business, they are encouraged to consider making a $500 donation to the program to help continue this transformative work. Kansas State University is currently accepting prospective business projects for Wildcat Consulting. To submit a proposal, click here.
