Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With Disability Services Donation

Louisburg, Kansas (October 27, 2023)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefitting Kansas communities, has partnered with Peace Lodge No. 243 to donate $1,000 to the Agape Center, an organization providing care to individuals with physical and mental disabilities.

Founded in 1902, Peace Lodge No. 243 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has 88 members and supports numerous community events, including awarding local high school students with college scholarships, sponsoring local band students at the Kansas All-State High School Marching Band Camp, and beginning the local Blessings in a Backpack program. The lodge has also partnered with the KU Cancer Center to provide free cancer screenings to community members and participants.

“Agape’s Grace, Inc.’s mission is to encourage individuals with disabilities to live a more fulfilling life,” said Peace Lodge No. 243 Secretary Jim Ward. “They provide work opportunities and independent living options for adults with disabilities.”

Continuing with their mission of contributing to charitable works within the community, the Brothers at Peace Lodge No. 243 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to donate $1,000 to the Agape Center. The organization provides a valuable service to the Louisburg community and surrounding area, offering adult daycare to individuals with mental and physical disabilities. The funds donated will help build a new facility, and a formal donation announcement will take place in the coming weeks.
