Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Kansas Masonic Lodge With Salvation Army Donation

Coffeyville, Kansas (September 29, 2023)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Keystone Lodge No. 102 to donate $2,000 to the Salvation Army. The organization helps build local programs to offer immediate relief, short-term care, and long-term growth in the areas that will best benefit the community.

Founded in 1871, Keystone Lodge No. 102 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has 162 members and supports various local causes, including the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, the local police department, local animal shelters, the Boys & Girls Club, the Wounded Warriors Project, the Coffeyville High School Senior Class, and the Coffeyville College Girls Softball Team.

“Our lodge aims to create unity, Brotherly love, and to contribute to the betterment of our community,” said Keystone Lodge No. 102 Secretary Billy King. “We have supported the Salvation Army in the past and believe they provide a great service to the people of our city.”

To further their mission of assisting others in need, the Brothers at Keystone Lodge No. 102 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to donate $2,000 to the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army assesses the specific needs of the local community to understand the challenges faced by a particular population to build local programs that offer immediate relief, short-term care, and long-term growth opportunities. The funds donated by Keystone Lodge No. 102 in collaboration with the Kansas Masonic Foundation will help purchase grocery cards and gifts for seniors and children at Christmas, fulfill wishlists, and serve holiday meals for needy families. A formal donation announcement will take place in the coming month.
