Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With Methodist church Donation

Meridan, Kansas (July 28, 2023)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefitting Kansas communities, has partnered with Mayetta Lodge No. 393 to donate $200 to Tools 4 School, an organization providing support to students at three Jackson County School Districts, including Royal Valley, Holton, and Jackson Heights.

Founded in 1911, Mayetta Lodge No. 393 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has 230 members and supports various community organizations and events, including supporting the Mayetta Pioneer Days, providing books and school supplies to children in need, helping with the local high school After Prom activities, and donating to the Community Blessing Box. The lodge has previously aided in building a spray park in Mayetta to help individuals with complex personal, medical, or financial problems and allows the local American Legion and Eastern Star to utilize their building for meetings and activities.

“Our Brothers have previously donated to the Tools 4 School initiative and want to continue to support their efforts to help students start the school year off right,” said Mayetta Lodge No. 393 Treasurer Jerry Crumpton.

To continue supporting local youth, the Brothers at Mayetta Lodge No. 393 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to donate $200 to Tools 4 School. The Tools 4 School program allows families to apply for assistance by filling out an application proving financial hardship, paying a minimal fee, and proving their child is enrolled in one of the county schools. The funds donated by Mayetta Lodge No. 393 in collaboration with the Kansas Masonic Foundation will be used to purchase school supplies for students, such as tablets, pencils, and other necessary items. A formal donation announcement will take place at a later date.
