Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With Local Family Donation

Leon, Kansas (June 23, 2023)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Joppa Lodge No. 223 to donate $1,100 to a local family in need.

Joppa Lodge No. 223 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world, and has nearly 50 members committed to philanthropy within the community. Some of their most notable contributions include supporting the local volunteer fire department, building a walkway bridge in the local park, sponsoring raffles for the Lion Pride Community Organization, the Harvest Home Festival, and providing food and supplies to families in need.

“A member of our local community recently lost their one-year-old son in a horrific accident,” said Joppa Lodge No. 223 Junior Warden Eric Bollig. “If we can help the family with their financial needs during this time, whether it be with funeral expenses, medical expenses, etc., we believe we must do so.”

To further their mission of supporting the local community, the Brothers at Joppa Lodge No. 223 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to donate $1,100 to a local family in need. The community is very small, so the lodge Brothers believe it is their duty to financially help the family during this time of crisis. The funds donated will help cover the family’s expenses during this time, including funeral expenses, medical expenses, etc. A formal donation presentation will be made in the coming days.
