Area Masonic Lodges To Serve as a Mentor Sponsor for the NextGen Under30 Workshop

Wichita, Kansas (June 2, 2023)—As the philanthropic arm of Kansas Masons, the Kansas Masonic Foundation is dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities and individuals. In recent years, Kansas Masons have displayed their commitment to the success of local communities by supporting various charitable endeavors, contributing over $200,000 worth of scholarships annually to local students, offering free cancer screenings to Kansas residents through the Masonic Cancer Alliance, sponsoring the Kansas Entrepreneurial Challenge, and participating in the Kansas PRIDE Program.

Continuing with their support of the local community, the following Wichita-based Masonic lodges have decided to serve as Mentor Sponsors for the upcoming NextGen Under30 Kansas workshop, an event empowering local young people to become leaders in their community:

Albert Pike Lodge No. 303
Arkansas Valley Lodge No. 21
Bestor G. Brown Lodge No. 433
Community Daylight Lodge No. 453
Fred Douglas Lodge No. 99
North Star Lodge No. 168
Pyramid Lodge No. 451
Sunflower Lodge No. 86
Wichita Lodge No. 99

NextGen Under30 Kansas is an organization endorsed by Governor Laura Kelly and Lt. Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland that recognizes Kansas’ next generation of leaders and achievers who demonstrate talent, drive, and service to their communities. It aims to highlight exceptional individuals under 30 while encouraging innovative, creative, and inspiring people to push the boundaries in various categories of endeavor. By organizing such a program to recognize local talent and contributions, the Kansas Department of Commerce hopes to encourage Kansas residents to continue working and residing in the state while also attracting prospective out-of-state students to attend local universities.

“Our Wichita-based Kansas Masons are excited to continue furthering our impact in the Wichita area and bettering the communities in which we live,” said Robert Shively, Executive Director of the Kansas Masonic Foundation. “This new sponsorship will extend Kansas Masons’ involvement as the Title Sponsor of the NextGen Under30 Statewide Program and help recognize exceptional individuals who are the future of our state!”

The upcoming NextGen Under30 Kansas Workshop will be held on June 29, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Strategic Workspace in Wichita, Kansas. Individual registration will include lunch, a 40-page participant resource guide, the opportunity to attend various panels, and the ability to network with other young professionals attending the workshop.
