Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With Shrine Bowl Donation

Girard, Kansas (May 5, 2023)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefitting Kansas communities, has partnered with Girard Lodge No. 93 to donate $3,600 to the Kansas Shrine Bowl, an annual all-star high school senior football game, with net proceeds benefitting Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Founded in 1870, Girard Lodge No. 93 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has 41 members and supports various organizations and events in the community, including the local high school After Prom Party, the Senior Center, the Chamber of Commerce Flag Fund, and the High School Marching Band Camp.

“Our lodge continues to support our high school students through their efforts to better themselves and help support the Shriners Hospitals,” said Girard Lodge No. 93 Secretary Wallace Simmons.

Furthering their mission of bettering the local community, the Brothers at Girard Lodge No. 93 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to provide a monetary donation of $3,600 to the Kansas Shrine Bowl. The flagship event has been played throughout Kansas each summer since 1974, with host cities including Lawrence, Manhattan, Wichita, Topeka, Hays, Emporia, Pittsburg, Dodge City, and Hutchinson. A formal donation announcement will take place in the coming weeks.
