Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With After Prom Donation

Howard, Kansas (April 28, 2023)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Hope Lodge No. 155 to donate $400 to the West Elk After Prom Committee.

Founded in 1874, Hope Lodge No. 155 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has 63 members and supports the community through acts of service, including cooking a meal for the Friends of the NRA Banquet, providing uniforms for summer baseball leagues, and offering scholarships to Juniors and Seniors at West Elk High School.

“Our lodge strives to help out in the small communities in our area with aid and assistance when needed,” said Hope Lodge No. 155 Secretary Steve Julian.

To help further their mission of helping individuals and organizations in need, the Brothers at Hope Lodge No. 155 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to provide a monetary donation of $400 to the West Elk High School After Prom celebration. The Annual After Prom celebration provides students a place to go following Prom each year, allowing them to have supervised fun while remaining safe. This year’s donation will help purchase food, drinks, and prizes for the event, and the funds raised by the lodge, combined with matching funds from the Kansas Masonic Foundation, will be presented to the After Prom Committee in the coming weeks.
