Kansas Masons Commit $500,000 to the Shriners Children’s Hospital in St. Louis To Be Donated Over the Next Five Years

St. Louis, Missouri (December 1, 2022)—As the philanthropic arm of Kansas Masons, the Kansas Masonic Foundation is dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities and individuals. In recent years, Kansas Masons have displayed their commitment to the success of local communities by supporting various charitable endeavors, contributing over $200,000 worth of scholarships annually to local students, sponsoring the Kansas Entrepreneurial Challenge, participating in the Kansas PRIDE Program, and contributing more than $35 million to the KU Cancer Center.  

This year, to continue supporting local Kansas communities, Kansas Masons will present a check to Shriners Children’s Hospital in St. Louis for $250,000. Over the past five years, Kansas Masons have funded necessary hospital equipment identified by the St. Louis hospital team annually and have further committed an additional $250,000 to be donated over the next five years, bringing the total contribution to $500,000.

While Shiners International has 22 hospitals in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, many Kansas patients travel to the Shriners Children’s Hospital in St. Louis for care and treatment, with over 767 unique patients from Kansas treated over the past five years.

An official check presentation will take place on Friday, December 9, 2022, at the Shriners Children’s Hospital in St. Louis and will be presented by the following Kansas Masons:
