Masonic and Civil ServicesCaledonia Lodge No. 459 Donates $1,800 to Local Veterans’ Associations

Salina, Kansas (October 21, 2022)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Caledonia Lodge No. 459 to donate $1,800 to the Salina Military Affairs Council, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1432, and the Vietnam Veterans Association (VVA), local organizations that provide support to Veterans and their families.

Founded in 2014, Caledonia Lodge No. 459 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has nearly 20 members and is heavily involved in the local community by supporting the Masonic Scholarship Program, Masonic Band Camp, the local Friends of Salina Animal Shelter, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the American Legion Riders, and more. 

“Caledonia Lodge No. 459 was established by Masonic bagpipers as a lodge with a Celtic flare,” said Caledonia Lodge No. 459 Junior Warden Doug Kempton. “In addition, the lodge concentrates on learning and spreading Masonic light among our Brothers and stays active in community charities, especially where our Veterans are concerned.”

Furthering their mission of remaining active in community charities, the Brothers at Caledonia Lodge No. 459 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to donate $1,800 to the Salina Military Affairs Council, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1432, and the Vietnam Veterans Association (VVA). The funds donated will directly assist local Veterans and families of Veterans within the community, in addition to helping with education efforts and emergency relief funds. An official donation announcement will take place in December of 2022.
