Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With 4-H Livestock Donation

Kansas City, Kansas (July 18, 2022)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefitting Kansas communities, has partnered with Delaware Lodge No. 96 to donate $2,000 to the Wyandotte County 4-H Livestock Club, an organization teaching leadership, citizenship, and life skills to the local community of young people.

Founded in 1870, Delaware Lodge No. 96 has nearly 100 members dedicated to philanthropy within the community. This Kansas Masonic Lodge is heavily involved in community service and supports various local causes, including supporting the local DeMolay Chapter and other youth programs in the Kansas City area like the Boy Scouts of America, the International Order of the Rainbow Girls, and Job’s Daughters International, a Masonic affiliated youth organization for girls and young women aged 10 to 20. The lodge has previously donated to the Wyandotte County Fair Livestock Auction and continues to support the organization in an attempt to help the local community.

“We fully support our youth and strive to help them further their leadership skills,” said Delaware Lodge No. 96 Secretary Danny Newell. “We also support these kids to help improve their citizenship and life skills, as they will be our future farmers and leaders!”

Continuing with their support of local youth, the Brothers at Delaware Lodge No. 96 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to provide a monetary donation of $2,000 to the Wyandotte County 4-H Livestock Club. The funds donated will go toward this year’s Youth 4-H Livestock Auction, where members will have the opportunity to sell their competition animals during the auction or have the meat processed to keep for their own families and will gain a better sense of free enterprise and business operations. A formal donation announcement previously took place on July 15, 2022.
