Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With Elite Skills Training Donation

Wichita, Kansas (July 15, 2022)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Sunflower Lodge No. 86 to donate $840 to One and Done Elite Skills Training, an organization that provides underprivileged children basketball instruction and skills training.

Founded in 1898, Sunflower Lodge No. 86 has 181 members dedicated to philanthropy within the community. This Kansas Masonic Lodge is heavily involved in community service and supports various local causes, including sponsoring the local DeMolay Chapter and other youth programs in the Wichita area and hosting fundraising events to benefit organizations throughout the community. The lodge has consistently donated to the DeMolay fraternal organization since 1999 and continues to support its efforts of providing young men with quality guidance and mentorship.

“The Brothers of Sunflower Lodge No. 86 have always reached out to help children in the community,” said Sunflower Lodge No. 86 Secretary Don Kabler. “We will help whenever we can, whether it is a child of a Masonic family or not. We have helped this organization before and will do so in the future because we feel they make a positive difference for the youth in Wichita.”

Continuing with their support of local youth programs, Sunflower Lodge No. 86 has partnered with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to donate $840 to One and Done Elite Skills Training. The organization offers young boys and girls between third and eighth-grade skills training in basketball while helping them become better young people. Each child is taught the importance of self-determination, self-reliance, and a strong work ethic as a way to elevate their self-esteem in a positive way. This is the lodge’s second year donating to the organization, and the funds donated will go toward paying for training facilities, instructors, food, and t-shirts. A formal donation announcement will be made on August 9, 2022.
