Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With CASA Donation

Merriam, Kansas (July 15, 2022)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Overland Park Lodge No. 436 to donate $1,000 to Court-Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Johnson and Wyandotte Counties, an organization providing a meaningful voice and connection to children who have experienced abuse and neglect.

Founded in 1923, Overland Park Lodge No. 436 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has over 175 members and is heavily involved in the local community, making regular contributions to the Sunflower House and CASA of Johnson and Wyandotte Counties.

“At Overland Park Lodge No. 436, we take good men and make them better through faith, hope, charity, fraternity, and Brotherly love,” said Overland Park Lodge No. 436 Worshipful Master Doug Wettlaufer. “We feel strongly about supporting CASA of Johnson and Wyandotte Counties because they are a reputable organization that helps children through difficult and traumatic life events.”

Furthering their mission of supporting local organizations and community members, the Brothers at Overland Park Lodge No. 436 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to donate $1,000 to CASA of Johnson and Wyandotte Counties. The organization works to recruit, train, and supervise community volunteers who are appointed by judges of the juvenile courts to advocate for the best interests of children and youth in the foster care system. The funds donated will be used to purchase school supplies for local children, and an official donation announcement previously took place in April of 2022.
