Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge Community Center Donation

Devon, Kansas (May 27, 2022)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Devon Lodge No. 92 to donate $1,000 to the Devon Community Center.

Founded in 1897, Devon Lodge No. 92 is a Kansas Masonic Lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. This Kansas Masonic lodge has 34 members that support various local organizations, including the Devon Community Center, Wreaths Across America, and the Sharing Bucket, a local group that helps provide resources and support to cancer survivors. The lodge has also hosted free cancer screenings for community members through help from the Kansas Masonic Foundation and has awarded scholarships to local students.

“Devon Lodge No. 92 strives to donate to local community and youth organizations in our area where we can make a difference,” said Devon Lodge No. 92 Secretary Donald Wheeler.

This year, to further their philanthropic reach and continue organizations within the community, the Brothers at Devon Lodge No. 92 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to provide a monetary donation of $1,000 to the Devon Community Center. The organization is located in the former Methodist Church and is used for community events, anniversaries, birthday parties, and gatherings. The Brothers at Devon Lodge No. 92 are the primary supporter of the Community Center, with their donated funds able to cover the necessary operating costs. In the past four years alone, the lodge has donated over $4,000 to the organization to pay for electricity, water usage, and propane costs. An official donation announcement will take place in the coming weeks.
