Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With High School Art Class Donation

Moran, Kansas (May 20, 2022)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefitting Kansas communities, has partnered with Marmaton Lodge No. 245 to donate $600 to the Marmaton Valley High School Art Class, a program that provides high-level instruction and knowledge to local students.

Founded in 1885, Marmaton Lodge No. 245 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has nearly 80 members and supports various community organizations and events, including donating to the local 4-H and Forensics Clubs, volunteering for the annual Back to School Barbecue, and helping with the annual Community Day (Moran Day) activities. The lodge also regularly supports the local chapter of FFA through financial contributions.

“Our lodge mission is to make good men better while helping our community where possible,” said Marmaton Lodge No. 245 Secretary James Mueller. “We support many local activities, specifically within the school system.”

This year, the Brothers at Marmaton Lodge No. 245 are continuing to give back to the local community by teaming up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to donate $600 to the Marmaton Valley High School Art Program. The funds donated, raised in a joint fundraiser with the class, will help provide new supplies and training for the program and possibly fund a field trip to a local art museum. A formal donation presentation will be made on May 23, 2022.
