Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With Animal Rescue Donation

Clay Center, Kansas (April 1, 2022)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Clay Center Lodge No. 134 to donate $1,530 to the Clay County Animal Rescue and Education Center, an organization dedicated to rescuing, caring for and adopting out homeless dogs into loving and responsible forever homes.

Founded in 1873, Clay Center Lodge No. 134 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has 85 members and is heavily involved in the local community, specifically supporting the Clay County Animal Rescue and Education Center and participating in local County, City, and School Boards.

“Our lodge considers each member to be of value to the lodge and the community at large,” said Clay Center Lodge No. 134 Secretary Tracy Bloom. “We encourage and promote the education of each of our members not only in general knowledge but in moral and spiritual intellect. This increases each member’s participation and input into the lodge and builds a stronger community.”

Furthering their mission of assisting the local community, the Brothers at Clay Center Lodge No. 134 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to donate $1,530 to the Clay County Animal Rescue and Education Center. The organization is entirely volunteer-driven and works to  educate the public on respect for all animal life, including the importance of feral animals being spayed or neutered in order to reduce their numbers in our communities. Additionally, the organization has an extensive network of knowledgeable, experienced, talented, and caring individuals dedicated to improving the lives of companion animals in local communities. The funds donated by Clay Center Lodge No. 134 in collaboration with the Kansas Masonic Foundation will help provide general care to sheltered animals and assist with placing pets. A formal donation announcement will take place on April 20, 2022, at 7:30 pm.
