Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With Learning Center Donation

Ellsworth, Kansas (January 7, 2022)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Ellsworth Lodge No. 146 to donate $2,000 to the Ellsworth Childcare and Learning Center, an organization offering children structured learning activities that nurture continued growth during the vital periods of brain development.

Founded in 1874, Ellsworth Lodge No. 146 is a Kansas Masonic Lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has nearly 60 members and supports various local organizations and events, including contributing to the local fire departments, donating to community childcare centers, and hosting free cancer screenings in collaboration with the Kansas Masonic Foundation. The lodge also supports fellow Brothers in need to ensure that all Brothers and their families are taken care of.

“Ellsworth Childcare and Learning Center is a central point of the community that helps with the care of children and their advancement in education,” said Ellsworth Lodge No. 146 Worshipful Master Casey Flinn. “They are constantly in need of upgrades to their facility in order to meet the Kansas codes that are enforced for the safety of the children and the staff.”

To further their mission of giving back to the local community through philanthropy, the Brothers at Ellsworth Lodge No. 146 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Donation to donate $2,000 to the Ellsworth Childcare and Learning Center. The organization is comprised of a state-licensed center structured with classrooms according to age and provides children with a nap and rest time, outside playtime, and well-balanced meals, including breakfast, lunch, morning, and afternoon snacks. While the learning center emphasizes children, family involvement is encouraged and supported to help foster each individual’s creative, emotional, intellectual, physical, and social growth. The funds donated will help ensure that the center can make any needed repairs to their facility or purchase items that would help them give a more safe and efficient learning environment for the children. An official donation announcement will take place on January 17, 2022.
