Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With VA Medical Center Donation

Kansas City, Kansas (December 13, 2021)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Ben Hur Lodge No. 322 to donate $2,800 to the Kansas City VA Medical Center, an organization providing quality healthcare to local veterans.

Founded in 1930, Ben Hur Lodge No. 322 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has 86 members and is active within the local community, supporting local youth with scholarships through the Kansas Masonic Foundation and donating to the Kansas City VA Medical Center. This year will mark the lodge’s first contribution to the organization.

“Our mission is to provide a positive atmosphere that makes good men better for their family, community, faith, country, and fraternity by adhering to the most significant tenets of Freemasonry: Brotherly love, relief, and truth,” said Ben Hur Lodge No. 322 Secretary Chris Perry. “We work to educate, promote, and practice a way of life that binds like-minded men in a worldwide brotherhood that overcomes all cultural and social differences through experience and service to God and to inspire existing members to improve themselves so that they may also improve the lives of others in their community and the world at large.”

To further this mission, the Brothers at Ben Hur Lodge No. 322 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to provide a monetary donation of $2,800 to the Kansas City VA Medical Center. The organization has a rich legacy of providing quality care to local veterans through offering comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services focusing on primary care, mental health, and specialty services. The funds donated will go directly to veterans to help purchase hot meals, provide transportation, clothing, toiletries, reading glasses, housing, etc., and will help bridge the gap between healthcare and personal needs. Not only will the donation provide additional care to veterans, but it will help get them back on the right track and set them up for future health and success.
