Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With Christmas Gifts Donation

Leon, Kansas (November 3, 2021)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Joppa Lodge No. 223 to donate $1,200 to local families within the community who need additional assistance during the holiday season.

Joppa Lodge No. 223 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world, and has 49 members committed to philanthropy within the community. Some of their most notable contributions include supporting the local volunteer fire department, building a walkway bridge in the local park, sponsoring raffles for the Lion Pride Community Organization, the Harvest Home Festival, and providing food and supplies to families in need.

“Our lodge supports all community activities, including providing Christmas gifts to the less fortunate children in the community during the holidays,” said Joppa Lodge No. 223 Junior Warden Donald Nelson.

To further their mission of supporting the local community, the Brothers at Joppa Lodge No. 223 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to donate $1,200 to provide Christmas gifts, food, and additional resources to less fortunate children and families in the area. The funds donated by the lodge in collaboration with the Kansas Masonic Foundation will benefit several local families, all of which have children under the age of 10 years old who would otherwise not experience a traditional Christmas celebration. Joppa Lodge No. 223 plans to deliver the purchased foods and gifts personally to the families on December 16, 2021.
