Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With Food Pantry Donation

Winfield, Kansas (December 2, 2021)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Winfield Lodge No. 110 to donate $1,800 to the Winfield Community Food Pantry, an organization assisting the people of northern Cowley County in need with quality service, useable food items, and a nurturing atmosphere.

Founded in 1890, Winfield Lodge No. 110 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has over 100 members and supports numerous local charities, including Eagle Nest, Inc., Operation Blue Santa, CASA of Cowley County, The Child Safety Council, and the Abate Toy Run. Each year, the lodge proudly supports these organizations and furthers their philanthropic initiative by making monetary donations with assistance from the Kansas Masonic Foundation.

“Our Brothers define doing good charitable work by strengthening charitable organizations within our community through monetary gifts in their greatest times of need,” said Winfield Lodge No. 110 Secretary Jim Stevens. “We also volunteer physical help as our capabilities permit.”

To further their mission of strengthening charitable organizations within the community, the Brothers at Winfield Lodge No. 110 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to donate $1,800 to the Winfield Community Food Pantry. The food pantry works to provide food for food-insecure families within the community while also assisting with quality service and providing a nurturing atmosphere. Each year, the Brothers make a monetary donation to the nonprofit organization before the holiday season to help with additional food purchases necessary during this time of the year. A formal donation announcement was made at the Winfield Community Food Pantry prior to Thanksgiving this year.
