Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With Blue Santa Program Donation

Lindsborg, Kansas (November 1, 2021)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Lindsborg Lodge No. 397 to donate $500 to the Lindsborg Police Department. The organization is dedicated to providing a number of services in the interest of the citizens of the City of Lindsborg, including protecting and serving the public.

Founded in 1912, Lindsborg Lodge No. 397 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has 63 members and is committed to supporting activities and projects in the local community. Some of their most notable contributions include completing a biannual clean-up of U.S. Highway 81, working on the Smokey Valley Roller Mill restoration project, volunteering during the Svensk Hyllningsfest, and conducting a child identification program for local children.

Additionally, the Brothers at Lindsborg Lodge No. 397 have donated to the Shrine Hospital National Ambassadors, an organization that supports local Shrine Hospitals who provide care to children at no cost to their families. This year, the Brothers have donated $300 to allow the Shrine Hospital National Ambassadors to travel to the Isis Shrine in Salina, Kansas.

“Our Brothers at Lindsborg Lodge No. 397 define doing good charitable work by supporting projects within the community with money or labor,” said Lindsborg Lodge No. 397 Secretary Michael Terry. “This year, we have decided to donate to the Lindsborg Police Department’s Annual Blue Santa Program, a program that helps needy children in the community.”

To further their mission of giving back to the local community, the Brothers at Lindsborg Lodge No. 397 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to provide a monetary donation of $500 to the Blue Santa Program. The funds donated will help purchase toys and clothing for needy children within the community. A formal donation announcement will take place on November 10 at the Lindsborg Lodge.
