Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With Moran Day Committee Donation

Moran, Kansas (September 8, 2021)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefitting Kansas communities, has partnered with Marmaton Lodge No. 245 to donate $400 to the Moran Day Committee, an organization that hosts the annual Moran Day parade.

Founded in 1885, Marmaton Lodge No. 245 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has 82 members and supports various community organizations and events, including donating to the local 4-H and Forensics Clubs, volunteering for the annual Back to School Barbecue, and regularly supporting the local chapter of Marmaton Valley High School FFA program.

“We contribute to the Moran Day Committee regularly,” said Marmaton Lodge No. 245 Secretary James Mueller. “In the past, we have donated money to purchase new bean pots and parade prizes for the different festivities.”

Continuing with their support of the local community, the Brothers at Marmaton Lodge No. 245 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to donate $400 to the Moran Day Committee, an organization that organizes the annual Moran Day parade and bean feed. The funds donated will provide prize money for a chariot race held by local youth during the parade. This event allows as many as 25 individuals to participate during the parade festivities. The prizes will be awarded on September 18, 2021, during the parade.
