Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports local Kansas Masonic Lodge With Livestock Auction Donation

Kansas City, Kansas (June 24, 2021)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefitting Kansas communities, has partnered with Delaware Lodge No. 96 to donate $2,000 to the 2021 Wyandotte County Fair Livestock Auction, the culminating event where 4-H members have the opportunity to sell their competition animals.

Founded in 1870, Delaware Lodge No. 96 has nearly 100 members dedicated to philanthropy within the community. This Kansas Masonic Lodge is heavily involved in community service and supports various local causes, including supporting the local DeMolay Chapter and other youth programs in the Kansas City area like the Boy Scouts of America, the International Order of the Rainbow Girls, and Job’s Daughters International, a Masonic affiliated youth organization for girls and young women aged 10 to 20. The lodge has previously donated to the Wyandotte County Fair Livestock Auction and continues to support the organization in an attempt to help the local community.

“Our support assists Wyandotte County 4-H members in understanding the free enterprise system and how business works,” said Delaware Lodge No. 96 Secretary Danny Newell. “These opportunities allow youth and adults to work in partnership, leading to the development of the life skills used to become healthy, self-directing, contributing members of society.”

Continuing with their support of the local 4-H livestock auction, the Brothers at Delaware Lodge No. 96 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to provide a monetary donation of $2,000 to the 2021 Wyandotte County Fair Livestock Auction. Youth 4-H members will have the opportunity to sell their competition animals during the auction or have the meat processed to keep for their own families and will gain a better sense of free enterprise and business operations. A formal donation announcement will take place on Friday, July 16, during the livestock auction.
