Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With Community Benefit Walk
Hoxie, Kansas (May 24, 2021)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefitting Kansas communities, has partnered with Hoxie Lodge No. 348 to donate $2,000 to the Sheridan County Benefit Walk, a fundraising organization helping Sheridan County individuals and families struggling with life-altering medical conditions.
Founded in 1893, Hoxie Lodge No. 348 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world. The lodge has 45 members and supports the community through acts of service, including operating a booth at the Community Home Carnival, helping pick up trash along the highway, consistently donating to community food banks, providing scholarships to local high school students, and donating to the Sheridan County Benefit Walk.
“Our Brothers at Hoxie Lodge No. 348 have donated to the Sheridan County Benefit Walk for the past 10 years,” said Hoxie Lodge No. 348 Assistant Secretary Gary Shipley. “We plan to continue doing good charitable work by donating to the organization and helping provide a better life for individuals in our community.”
To continue their mission of helping give a better life to individuals and families within the community, the Brothers at Hoxie Lodge No. 348 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to provide a monetary donation of $2,000 to the Sheridan County Benefit Walk. The Sheridan County Benefit Walk is an annual event that helps raise money for local families who need assistance with medical bills or travel within the county and benefits individuals and families struggling with life-altering medical conditions. The funds raised by the lodge, combined with matching funds from the Kansas Masonic Foundation, will be presented at the Sheridan County Benefit Walk on June 11, 2021, at the Sheridan County 4-H Building.
