McKinley Lodge No. 41 Donates $1,000 to the Overbrook Fair Association

Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With Fair Association Donation

Overbrook, Kansas (May 7, 2021)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefitting Kansas communities, has partnered with McKinley Lodge No. 41 to donate $1,000 to the Overbrook Fair Association, an organization that manages the Overbrook Fairgrounds, home to the local rodeo, tractor pull, and Fourth of July celebrations in Osage County. 

McKinley Lodge No. 41 is a Kansas Masonic lodge dedicated to Freemasonry, the oldest surviving fraternal organization in the world, and has 23 members dedicated to philanthropy within the community. Aside from their continued support of the Overbrook Fair Association, the lodge is passionate about serving other local organizations that benefit the community, including making contributions to the Pomona Public Library and supporting the City of Pomona. 

“The Overbook Fair Association has been around for more years than I have, and it is estimated that our lodge started attending events in 1996,” said McKinley Lodge No. 41 Secretary Thomas Wiese. “But this is the first year our lodge has requested matching funds from the Kansas Masonic Foundation.”

To help further their mission of helping individuals and organizations in need, the Brothers at McKinley Lodge No. 41 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to provide a monetary donation of $1,000 to the Overbrook Fair Association in Osage County, Kansas. The donation will help support local events hosted at the fairgrounds, including rodeos, tractor pulls, holiday celebrations, and 4-H events. The funds raised by the lodge, combined with matching funds from the Kansas Masonic Foundation, will be presented to the Overbrook Fair Association on June 1, 2021.
