Kansas Masonic Foundation Supports Local Kansas Masonic Lodge With Boys & Girls Club Donation

Lawrence, Kansas (March 25, 2021)—The Kansas Masonic Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to benefiting Kansas communities, has partnered with Acacia Lodge No. 9 to donate $2,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence, an organization with the mission of enabling all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.

Founded in 1867, Acacia Lodge No. 9 has 46 members dedicated to philanthropy within the community. This Kansas Masonic Lodge is heavily involved in community service and supports various local causes, including donating to the Ballard Center to help provide quality and affordable early education and basic life assistance to families and individuals in need. The lodge also supports Jubilee Cafe, Just Food, the Lawrence Community Shelter, Meals on Wheels, the Salvation Army, Peaslee Tech, and other local organizations. This will be the lodge’s first donation to the Boys & Girls Club in Lawrence to help provide resources to children within the community.

“We are excited for this donation to the Boys & Girls Club because it will help young children in our community. Education is important to all Freemasons,” said Acacia Lodge No. 9 Worshipful Master Dylan Warrington. “Because, after all, our children are our future!”

To further their mission of supporting children in the community, the Brothers at Acacia Lodge No. 9 have teamed up with the Kansas Masonic Foundation to provide a monetary donation of $2,000 to the Boys & Girls Club in Lawrence, Kansas. The donation will help provide child care and after-school services to local children, help students complete their homework, provide food assistance and school supply assistance, and equip students with post-high school resources. The funds raised by the lodge, combined with matching funds from the Kansas Masonic Foundation, will be presented at the Center for Great Futures on March 27th at 9:00 AM.
